We as a country, a community and a family are mourning. We are mourning the loss of George Floyd and the countless other African Americans throughout our country’s history that have lost their lives tragically at the hands of others. In the work of healing from the tragic history of racism here in the United States, we must confront and empower change in order for the CB girls and our country to be able to experience our nation’s promise of unity, freedom and justice for all.
As we all process so much grief, sadness and pain, Community Bridges remains passionately dedicated to fighting for racial justice and equity for all. This is a moment for us to reaffirm our deep commitment to both educate and to create a safe space for our girls to have critical conversations for social justice and healing. CB will continue to stand with our girls and our community. #BlackLivesMatter
