We connect girls to their future.

Community Bridges empowers girls from diverse backgrounds to become exceptional students, positive leaders, and healthy young women. We do so by addressing the developmental needs of immigrant and minority girls and their families living at or below the federal poverty level in Montgomery County, Maryland.

We take a holistic, long-term approach to helping each girl fulfill her potential.

Our integrated 4th through 12th grade after- and out-of-school Girls Program supports the growth of our young women by helping them understand their potential and life choices, learn creative strategies to become leaders, and break their family’s cycle of poverty using education as a vehicle. We further extend the impact for CB girls by wrapping their own efforts with mentoring and programs to provide resources and support for their families.

We are experts in helping girls succeed.

Community Bridges has a small but dedicated staff. Our holistic, long-term approach to helping girls fulfill their potential is supported by an incredible group of CB mentors and volunteers, including our Board of Directors. We also work with community partners who help girls explore their options and expand their horizons – while also showing them that people in the community care about their future.

Visit the get involved page for more information on mentoring and volunteer opportunities.

We also invite you to invest in a girl with a one-time or ongoing donation.

We are always looking for powerful, innovative ways to get our girls connected to the community.  If you would like to partner with Community Bridges, contact us at inform@communitybridges-md.org or 301-585-7155.
