Collaboration is vital to our holistic approach to supporting CB girls and their families.

First and foremost, we develop strong, supportive partnerships with resource counselors and administrative staff in each school where our program is offered.

Our Community Bridges staff work in tandem with key school personnel to identify and recruit girls for the CB Girls Program. Special attention and recruitment efforts are made to girls who may be in need of access to services, who are seeking involvement in their school and community, or who are simply looking to make new friends and establish a peer network.

Community partners play an essential role in helping CB girls succeed.

It truly takes a village to provide the kind of sustained, holistic support that is the hallmark of the CB approach. We are deeply grateful to all the partners who make our programs possible, and who very often inspire our girls to dream bigger and aim higher.

We count on community partners — including businesses, nonprofits, colleges and government agencies — to expand our reach and deepen our impact. From donating resources and professional services, to sharing expertise with CB girls and families, to providing meaningful opportunities for girls to expand their horizons and connect with the community — our community partners are amazing!

Here are just a few of the partners making a big difference in the lives of CB girls:

Montgomery College provides support for our Girls Program and College & Career Program, including donations of computers for our in-office computer lab and donation of  space for our annual Career & Innovation Summit and end-of-year Our True Colors performance arts showcase. Rainbow Community Development Center provides CB families with ongoing food resources, including fresh fruits, vegetables and proteins. They have been an essential partner during the COVID-19 pandemic. Visit the Rainbow Community Development Center website.

My Write of Passage provides no-cost, one-on-one tutoring for girls working on their college application essays during the summer time. Andrea Herman, an experienced college educator and owner of My Write of Passage, began partnering with Community Bridges in Fall 2016.
