CB’s 3rd Annual Career & Innovation Summit Explored Advocacy through Innovation

On April 7, Community Bridges held our 3rd Annual Career and Innovation Summit. This year’s theme was We the Leaders.

This day-long event featured interactive workshops, a panel discussion, and a fun group competition. The Summit gave girls the opportunity to meet community advocates and leaders and find out how they use innovation and creativity to make change in their community. The event was free for girls in grades 6-12, and also included workshops for parents and mentors.

Community Bridges extends a special thank you to Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation (MEAF) and Montgomery College Takoma Park / Silver Spring for their support and making the day possible for CB girls.

We also thank our wonderful panelists, amazing workshop presenters, and Silver Spring Village for partnering on the innovative project competition.
