The CB Learning Access Program works to create systems change in ensuring students receive appropriate learning accommodations, reach academic self-efficacy, and are supported with any learning accessibility needs early in their academic journey.
With the support of the immediate past board chair Robin Salomon, CB created an education initiative to identify learning differences and create a pathway for success through a pilot program at JoAnn Leleck at Broad Acres Elementary School. CB launched a partnership with the Weinfield Education Group (WEG), Sienna School and the Meltzer Center at George Washington University in partnership for the pilot program. Through data from our program, we are advocating for change between ESOL and Special Education. Through testing, advocacy, tutoring and parent support, CB will use this pilot to scale and work towards system change in Montgomery County and beyond.
